Astana, Kazakhstan

Astana, now known as Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. Situated in the northern part of the country, it is one of the fastest-growing cities in Central Asia. Astana became the capital in 1997, replacing Almaty, and has since transformed into a modern and vibrant metropolis. As of September 2021, the estimated population of Astana was around 1.2 million people.

Astana is renowned for its futuristic architecture, wide boulevards, and well-planned urban development. The city's transformation has been largely influenced by the vision of the country's former president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who sought to create a symbol of Kazakhstan's progress and modernization.
